6 JAHANAM?...BUKAN TAPI 12 !!!!
Marilah kita belajar Bahasa Inggeris melalui kisah ini...sebuah kisah benar yg terjadi di BOLEPURA. Penulis mohon maaf seandainya cerita ini ada persamaan dengan sesebuah negeri, baik yg masih wujud maupun yang telah hancur.

Beside the top dog, the list includes his dark knights, from the Attorney-General to the Chief Justice, judges, the head of the ACA, the Election Commission chief and inspector-general of the police force.
1, Pak Mood - the Father of Corruption/Usurper of Democracy.
He had practically destroyed all the institutions of democracy in Bolehpura. Corruption and cronyism flourished under his rule to an extent never before seen. Like a leader who corrupted all those under him, most of the people holding high office in the country were corrupt and beholden to him. Surely but slowly Pak Mood's rule of corruption, cronyism and public-milking privatization had lowered the standard of living in BOLEPURA and making life harder for the ordinary citizen who would have to pay the ever increasing corruption tax. He is undoubtedly number one in our countdown as the most despicable man in Blooper even though he has retired.
2, Damn Denuding - a rapacious robber baron whose greed is boundless.
His low profile belied the immense power he wielded in his hands as the former finance minister under Pak Mood and he had used his power to amass fabulous wealth. A brazen attempt to force merge the country's banks to increase his share of banking assets to dangerous levels was aborted only because KUNO (a dominant, racist political party) needed Chinese votes to win the elections. However billions of ringers in frozen Club shares fell prey to his greed when badly treated foreign investors had to pay him a cut to get their shares released. His economic plunder helped to keep Pak Mood regime in power and fueled the money politics that the party machinery was running on.
3. MoreTar Abduh-Lar - A legal thug best describes this totally repulsive man.
For sheer gusto in carrying out Pak Mood's nefarious designs, MoreTar Abduh-Lar had no equal. He turned the office of the A-G into a dictator's tool of oppression to drag to court perceived political critics and enemies, he just couldn't lose. Lam Gam Eng felt the brunt of his legal thuggery for merely criticizing his non-action over the statutory rape of a schoolgirl by powerful politician Raffian Nalla Chik. This evil man was not above fabricating evidence to secure convictions when real evidence was hard to come by in cases where innocent people were dragged to court. He has since died. Will his soul rest in peace?
4. Ease-off Chain - He sat on the bench to ensure it subservience to Pak Mood.
When the country Chief Justice is corrupt what can you expect of the judicial system? Ease-off Chain had been photographed holidaying in New Zealand with highly successful lawyer V.K.Longan who had never lost a case in Ease-off Chain's court. Ease-off was used by Pak Mood to select suitable judges to hear important cases and to lean on judges to deliver the "correct" judgment. Any judge whose judgment displeased Ease-off was bound to find himself packing for a posting ia a backwater place and his career immediately stunted. Under this shady perverter of justice, the judiciary had won a smelly reputation locally and abroad as being thoroughly compliant to the executive.
5. Kalde Just-in - His newspapers were the propaganda machine of the ruling party.
As Group Managing Director of the New Crooked Times Press and running dog of Pak Mood, his role in corrupting minds was far-reaching indeed. This sycophantic editor who once called for foreign journalists to be arrested under ISA for reporting the truth tried to mould public opinion by hiding the excesses of the ruling party and heaping undeserved praise on corrupt leaders to keep them in power. The strategies used included biased opinion pieces, omission of all negative reporting of the establishment, public airing of unsubstantiated allegations against political opponents without right of reply, sycophantic adulation of the Pak Mood, reporting only the negative points of the opposition and playing them up, outright lying and filtering foreign viewpoints for the favorable comments only.
6. Mangostine Pau - A monster judge rode roughshod over all principles of jurisprudence to convict Anwar.
Mangostine Pau was handpicked to do a specific dirty job, that is to find Annuar guilty of some fanciful tup charges. Anxious not to disappoint his political masters on his first important assignment, he proceeded to trample truth and justice in his courtroom the crudest possible manner. He ran a banal kangaroo court which was so blatantly biased that it will forever shame the nation in the eyes of the world. The way that Pau bulldozed the flimsy prosecution's case through while suppressing material evidence from being aired speaks of a pure unadulterated evil. He held the future of the nation in his hands but he chose to sell his soul to the devil for a pittance, what a wretched man!
7. Oo-Mar MoreMad - With a corrupt man at the helm, the last bastion of democracy fell to Pak Mood.
He was the Chairman of the Election Commission which is tasked with the job of conducting the general election every 5 years. When all checks and balances have been removed in the administration of the nation by a corrupt and abusive government, the general election is the last bastion of democracy and the final check and balance to a power hungry dictator.
This is in theory but the sad reality is that even the Election Commission had been corrupted by Pak Mood. The 1999 election was anything but free and fair. A massive 650,000 newly registered voters who were generally perceived as critical of the government were not allowed to vote on the shaky premise that it took the EC a mind boggling nine months to register them. The EC also failed to correct the stirring of racial and religious fears by Bolepura Nominal politicians to garner votes. It was simply subservient to Pak Mood.
8. Amat Zuchi Hoe-sin - An agency to flush out corruption or to clean the corrupt?
Amat Zuchi was the Director General of the Anti Corruption Agency under Pak Mood. This body had become severely degraded and impotent in the eyes of the public as a blindfolded toothless tiger when going after the big fish was concerned. The ACA then and to date has frequently been abused as a weapon to investigate and pull down political opponents apart from not initiating cases of corruption in high places.
The ACA's most celebrated failure was its inability to conclude investigations into the Perbesi Karat case and bring charges against Tan Sri Enriko Ceh who lost frightening billions of ringgits for the besikarat giant under suspicious circumstances.
9. Ding Dong Sik: - He is the epitome of a village headman bought over with money and whiskey to keep the natives in line. Simply a disgrace to his community.
This political hack and lackey was only interested in maintaining the status quo while he went about the serious business of gathering wealth. And what an embarrassment of riches it has been with his son coming from nowhere to be an instant millionaire at age of 27. On issues affecting his community, you will not find this timorous leader speaking out whether it was the Nipah virus devastating the pig industry, non-acceptance of his own community's High School certificates or criticism of too many of his people's movies in Astro. In fact, he was ready and willing to accept erosion in his community rights to maintain his personal position. A fine example being his declaration that TAAR-AR! college would not be upgraded to university status. It must be a bitter irony to the Community that this bogus leader who claims to represent them was always elected from a Bolepura Native dominated electorate. Subsequent leaders too within the Bolepura Community Association have always stood in rural majority Native heartland constituencies riding on the Bolepura Banner and yet unashamedly claims to represent their Community. What a farce!
10. Samii Bulluu - Architect of the MAKKA Telecom shares scandal, Samii Bulluu proves that corruption pays in Bolepura, so does crime.
After 28 years of Samii Bulluu at the helm of the Bolepura Blacks Party, his community continued to remain economically backward and left behind in Bolepura economic growth. Trapped in a vicious cycle of poverty, industrialized structure, marginalized in every economic field and in danger of becoming and underclass. His shining achievent was the extension Tberhad's concession to collect toll at Jalan Uching despite expiry of the concessionary period and the company having recouped many times its original investment. And let's not forget Samii Bulluu's role in hijacking MAKKA's Telecom Shares to three unknown companies controlled by his proxy in 1990 thus depriving the agency entrusted with uplifting the economic well being of his community of an estimated RM70 million in profits.
11. RoughHim No Ar? - (This guy is unique he has a question mark after his name because when people confront him they asked; you beat him? No ar?...you kick him? no Ar?..you punched him? No ar?) Thus his name RoughHim No Ar?.
He is the Chief of Police turned out to be a lawless thug but he beat one prisoner too many.
RoughHim No Ar? was the inspector-general of police serving Pak Mood in Bolepura faithfully by misusing the police force until he was forced to resign after beating up former deputy pm while in custody. After shaming the police force and the nation he did not resign until his repulsive action was about to be exposed by a Royal Commission of Inquiry. Under him the police were highhanded and oppressive, sometimes summarily executing criminals and beating up people in detention to the point of death. The So-Busuk popularly known as SB was in charge of fabricating evidence from the dungeons of their confession factory with Muslim intellectual Munawarah Aniisa as their most famous guest. Throughout Munawarah's affidavit we were given a horrifying glimpse of torture Bolehpura style.

Disowned by her family and revealed as a scheming, manipulative, evil woman, she was the ideal person to be used by corrupt politicians in their conspiracy to destroy Annuar. Totally without conscience, she was a cesspool of immorality which made her the darling of like-minded KUNO politicians. She is nothing more than a modern day Delilah.

It was only published by THE SUN but rather small and hidden in the inner pages. WHY???...BECAUSE SHE WEARS A SAREE, NOT A 'TUDUNG'???!!!!

Well, I did say that I got the idea for this post late at night after a long, tiring day. I might have been hallucinating.

When I came home from a long day of work on Saturday night I turned on the television and the news was on. It was about Najib Razak officiating the launch of Malaysia's newest and of course, race-based political party, Makkal Sakti.
The Prime Minister was in fine form reading off the tele-prompter (I think) and dressed in batik and draped with and electric yellow sash. There was a lot of hand waving, pointing and other speech-making type gestures. But what Najib was saying was basically what a wonderful bunch of people the Indian community is. How much the Indian community has contributed to the development of Malaysia. How the Indian community must and always will be part and parcel of any development plans for the country.
Then the president of the new party, R.S.Thanenthirran was shown making his speech. And he starts to say how another party is needed to represent the country's Indian population. How the new party would work closely with the Barisan Nasional. How he sees the Barisan Nasional being the only workable coalition to bring prosperity to the Indian community.
Okay la, so I paraphrase very badly but I am sure that was the gist of the 2 speeches la. This type of speeches are quite normal in this country of ours. And we are so used to hearing our politicians mouthing off these things with such regularity.
Then the next day I opened the New Sunday Times and saw this photo of a thousand words...................
Look at the expression on the PM's face: "Heh...heh...heh...Ya right! These fools will believe anything. I am so clever I scare myself!"
His right arm is held up as if to stop someone from coming through: "Eh...eh...eh...just remember your position ya, Thamby? 3 steps behind please. Thank you. Jeez! Some people! Really!"
And the Makkal Sakti fler? Look at his expression. And his hunched shoulders and downcast eyes. As if in total submission. "Yes sir. We know where we stand. Thank you, sir."

MEREKA YG AKTIF MENYUMBANGKAN "ARTIKEL" KE POHON BERINGIN VERSI CETAK.
Di atas ini adalah mereka yg kerap menyumbangkan "artikel" ke Pohon Beringin. Memori-memori silam telah banyak menceriakan hidup kita. Baru-baru ini Sdr USUL GHAFLI KAMARUDIN ('62) pula tampil untuk lebih aktif. Terima kasih Usul sahabatku. Demekian pula Abd Majid Embee ('62), Harith Ismail (SM 1 - '53), teman sekelas saya dan Muhiyaddin Rashid juga teman sekelas dari 1953 sampai kpd 1958. Tetapi saya cukup bangga dgn usaha Ghazali Ariffin ('62) yg tidak pernah jemu dan letih untuk menulis kepada kita saban bulan. Pendek-kata saya berterimakasih kepada semua yg ada di bawah POHON ini - tanpa kalian siapalah saya ini.

INILAH MEREKA, 27 HADIRIN DI PSA - SBS'62, 03 OKT.2009
Nah inilah mereka 27 para sahabat yg akrab lagi mesra di hari PSA5-SBS'62 di rumah Fadzil Murad, dekat Lebuhraya Sultanah Bahiyah (Masjid Aman), Alor Setar, Kedah. Dan USUL GHAFLI KAMARUDIN pun menulis begini:
" 27 rakan classmates menyahut jemputan Perjumpaan Silaturrahmi Aidilfitri 5, SBS '62 (PSA5-SBS'62). 19 rakan bawa isteri. Haji dari Shah Alam jadi khalifah baca Yassin dan Tahlil dan Doa dibaca oleh Haji dari Taman Jayakami Alor Setar. Seorang rakan dan isteri datang dari Shah Alam. Seorang rakan (Datuk) dan Datin datang dari Kuala Lumpur. Seorang rakan datang solo dari Pengkalan Hulu, Perak. Dua rakan dan isteri datang dari Pulau Pinang. Selebihnya dari daerah-daerah Kedah. Dua Rakan yg datang telah menjalani heart bypass. Seorang baru keluar hospital menjalani audiogram. Dua rakan bawa isteri - baru keluar hospital. Dua rakan datang kali pertama. Dua rakan yg pernah kena stroke pun datang. Seorang rakan dari Kulim mendapat berita pagi tersebut bahawa dia dan isteri akan menjadi tetamu Allah tahun ini dan akan berangkat hujung bulan Oktober - be4rkat baca Yassin. Seorang rakan berjanggut panjang tiada gigi. Ada rakan pakai songkok - pakai ketayap - yg rambut hitam ada, yg beruban ramai. Seorang rakan bawa ikan siakap masak 10 rasa, yg bawa gado-gado pun ada dan tokua utk siapa? Semua isteri yg hadir diberi cenderamata, begitu juga rakan-rakan yg datang solo. Empat senior sekitar Alor Setar dijemput hadir dan seorang lagi datang solo. Ada rakan (tabib) promosi minyak angin - percuma hadiah kpd semua yg hadir. Ada juga rakan yg masih merokok walaupun di kotak ada gambar ngeri - yg tak merokok pun kena kanser. Ada rakan yg menyesal isteri tak ikut sama. Ada Bakaq tiada Abu ada Awang.

SBS Kelas '62 tetap akrab!
Pada tanggal 03 Oktober 2009 yakni 15 syawal 1430 sekali lagi kelas '62 SBS mengadakan Perjumpaan Silaturrahmi Aidilfitri dan pada kali ini mereka adakan majlis yg meriah lagi mesra itu di rumah Fadzil Murad di Alor Setar.
Ini adalah kali ke-5 perjumpaan sedemekian diadakan mereka. Alangkah mesra, akrab dan aktifnya mereka. Photo di atas menunjukkan sekelian para hadirin yakni Kelas '62 bersama-sama isteri mereka (hanya 19 dari dari pada 27 sahabat yg hadir membawa isteri bersama).

PB Versi Cetak - Nov.2009
Di atas ini adalah versi cetak, Pohon Beringin, warkah bulanan saya kepada teman-teman sezaman.

Saudara Haji Muhiyaddin Hj Abd Rashid (SM 1 1953 SBS)dari alamat TS 8741 Permatang Bertam, 13200 Kepala Batas, Pulau Pinang (Telefon: 04-5755192; 0124011404)akan melangsungkan majlis kenduri nikah putranya Mohd Shaiful pada tanggal 05 Disember 2009 / 18 Zulhijjah 1430. Beliau berbesar-hati dan bersyukur jika kita semua yang di bawah Pohon ini dapat hadir ke majlis kendurinya itu.
